Job Title: Deputy Manager / Manager - Legal Renewable Energy (Projects)

Qualification: BLS / LL.B.

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible for handling project-related commercial contracts within the renewable energy sector. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts for Wind and Solar projects, covering supply, EPC, and O&M agreements, while supporting project execution and ensuring legal and commercial risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Drafting & Negotiation

Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize project-related contracts, including:

- Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Supply Agreements

- Solar Module Supply Agreements

- EPC Contracts (Wind & Solar)

- Balance of Plant (BoP) Contracts

- Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Agreements

- Transportation, Installation & Commissioning Contracts

Project Legal Support

Provide ongoing legal support during project execution by:

- Interpreting contractual clauses

- Identifying legal and commercial risks

- Proposing mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives

Stakeholder Coordination

- Work closely with Projects, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and Management teams to ensure:

- Contractual compliance

- Smooth execution of project agreements

Contract Management

- Handle amendments, addendums, extensions, and variation orders to existing contracts

- Maintain contract documentation, repositories, trackers, and version control

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with:

- Indian Contract Law

- Applicable renewable energy, infrastructure, and power sector regulations

- Internal company policies

Dispute & Claims Support

- Support dispute management, claims analysis, and drafting of legal correspondence related to project contracts
