ABOUT THE ROLE
Designation: AGM/DGM - PROCUREMENT
Location: Mumbai / Bangalore / Delhi NCR
Reporting To: Head - Procurement / Director - Operations
Role Overview:
The AGM - Procurement will be responsible for end-to-end procurement, vendor management, and cost optimization for all technical services across commercial interior fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for Civil, Interior Fit-out, Furniture, and allied packages aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- MEP & ELV Procurement Strategy
- Build category-level sourcing strategies for key materials and services
- Support leadership in transitioning procurement from project-based buying to standardized, scalable systems
- Align procurement plans with project timelines, approvals, and execution sequences
2. Vendor Identification & Management
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors
- Build and maintain a reliable vendor ecosystem for each technical package
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranties, and SLAs
- Drive preferred-vendor and rate-contract programs for repeat efficiency
3. Cost Control & Value Engineering
- Lead cost optimization and value engineering initiatives while ensuring:
- Compliance with design intent
- Statutory and authority requirements
- Benchmark market rates and maintain updated technical rate cards
- Work closely with Design & Projects teams to suggest alternate makes / systems
- Ensure procurement aligns with approved BOQs, specifications, and samples
4. Project-Level Procurement Execution
- Coordinate closely with Design, Projects, and Finance teams to ensure seamless procurement execution
- Ensure timely issuance of POs / WOs, tracking of deliveries, and resolution of supply chain risks
- Manage long-lead items proactively to avoid project delays
- Support site teams during execution for material clarifications and vendor coordination
5. Technical Compliance & Authority Coordination Support
- Ensure procurement aligns with:
- Approved drawings and specifications
- Local authority requirements (Fire Dept., Civil Defence, SEWA/DEWA, etc. where applicable)
- Support consultants and execution teams with:
- Technical submittals
- Material approvals
- OEM documentation and certifications
6. Quality Assurance & Risk Management
- Ensure all procured systems and materials meet:
- Project quality standards
- OEM and industry norms
- Track warranties, test reports, commissioning requirements, and handover documentation
- Proactively identify and mitigate procurement and supply-chain risks
7. Process Building & Team Leadership
- Build and mentor a procurement team as the business scales
- Establish SOPs, templates, and procurement workflows
- Drive digitization and data-driven procurement tracking
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
- 6-15 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain
- Strong background in Commercial Interior Design & Build / Turnkey Projects
- Hands-on experience in:
- Civil & Interior Works procurement
- Large-scale commercial projects (IT offices, MNCs, corporate campuses, coworking, etc.)
Behavioral & Leadership Skills
- Detail-oriented with strong execution discipline
- Excellent coordination and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in fast-track, high-pressure project environments
- Ownership mindset with a strong sense of accountability
