Job Purpose/Objective:
Review and finalisation of commercial contracts, negotiations, and conduct risk analysis tests to mitigate legal and commercial risks in contractual arrangements, terms, and conditions with various stakeholders.
Handling disputes and litigation with respect to commercial matters and to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in this regard.
To lead effective implementation of legal projects and work cross functionally to meet companys objective.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on all aspects of commercial contracts, with a focus on both the procurement contracts (RFQs, tenders) as well as high-value customer contracts.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and best practices.
- Manage litigation and disputes related to contracts, including mediation, conciliation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
- Partner with Contract Managers to interpret contractual terms, manage change orders, claims, and communications.
- Leverage your expertise in the Indian Contract Act and commercial laws to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Utilize your knowledge of contract management tools to efficiently manage the contract lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with external counsel to achieve speedy and cost-effective legal solutions.
- Manage expectations of various business stakeholders within the organization.
- Quickly learn the intricacies of the multimodal logistics business and DP World processes.
- Work independently and manage multiple complex matters simultaneously while prioritizing effectively in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrate strong customer focus with the ability to understand concerns and make strategic decisions.
- Manage Contractual disputes and related legal actions, reviewing the legal communications, notices, responses etc.
