Role Summary:
The role is responsible for end-to-end financial leadership and controllership, including MIS, budgeting, accounting, treasury, statutory compliance, audits, and investor reporting. The incumbent will ensure strong financial governance, timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial support to senior management and the Board.
Key Responsibilities:
MIS & Management Reporting:
- Review and preparation of monthly and quarterly MIS in prescribed formats.
- Conduct budget vs actual variance analysis with actionable insights.
- Prepare Board and senior management presentations, financial dashboards, and analytical reports.
- Prepare and review cost-benefit analysis and financial evaluation notes.
- Verification and preparation of financial statements for statutory audits.
- Preparation and verification of financial reports for investor and lender requirements.
Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Preparation and verification of annual budgets as per management directives.
- Monitoring monthly budgeted vs actual performance and tracking deviations.
- Support management with forecasts, projections, and financial planning inputs.
Financial Accounting & Control:
- Supervision of accounting entries and maintenance of books of accounts.
- Scrutiny and finalization of accounts and ledgers at periodic intervals.
- Ensuring monthly provisions, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Treasury management, including cash flow planning and fund utilization.
- Fixed asset accounting and controls, including capitalization and depreciation.
- Inventory accounting and management, reconciliation, and valuation.
- Oversight of Accounts Payable, vendor reconciliations, and payment cycles.
- Managing statutory and internal audits, ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance:
- Handling Direct Taxation compliances and assessments.
- Handling Indirect Taxation compliances (GST and related matters).
- Ensuring timely ROC compliances and statutory filings.
- Ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards, laws, and internal controls.
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory
Experience & Industry Background:
- Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in Finance / Controllership roles.
- Experience in organizations with turnover exceeding - 500 crore.
- Preference for candidates from listed companies with hands-on Ind AS exposure.
- Mandatory ERP experience; preference for Microsoft Business Central / Navision.
- Experience in handling audits conducted by Big 4 firms will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to manufacturing or construction-related industries is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and financial interpretation skills
- Expertise in MIS, budgeting, accounting, costing, and treasury
- Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to work closely with senior management and Board-level stakeholders
- High ownership mindset with attention to detail and compliance orientation
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
