Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic finance professional to join our leadership team as Deputy General Manager (DGM) or General Manager (GM) Finance & Accounts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, audits, compliance, and financial strategy. This role is crucial in providing financial insights and supporting strategic decisions that drive growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sound financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
- Collaborate with senior leadership in financial decision-making and capital planning.
- Oversee annual budgeting processes, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial models.
- Monitor variance analysis and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage cost control initiatives and drive financial discipline across departments.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per applicable accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS).
- Supervise general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.
- Maintain integrity and accuracy in financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Coordinate internal and statutory audits, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, etc.).
- Implement audit recommendations and drive process improvements.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and consultants.
- Monitor cash flow, fund flow, and working capital management.
- Handle banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment planning.
- Ensure liquidity, risk mitigation, and cost-effective fund utilization.
- Manage implementation and maintenance of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) for finance operations.
- Drive automation, digitization, and process optimization in financial reporting and compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounts team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance & accounts, preferably in manufacturing/industrial/large-scale operations.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, taxation, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and financial modeling tools.
