Role Overview:
As the DGM/GM - Civil (Projects), you will be at the forefront of managing and executing large-scale industrial and civil projects, ensuring their timely and within-budget completion. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, as well as external stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Your leadership will directly impact the successful delivery of critical infrastructure, contributing to the company's growth and reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the planning, execution, and monitoring of civil and industrial projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment to achieve project goals effectively.
- Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle to maintain strong partnerships.
- Oversee the preparation and review of project proposals, contracts, and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations to mitigate risks.
- Implement and enforce robust safety protocols and quality control measures on project sites, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all personnel.
- Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges proactively, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in project management principles and methodologies, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex project-related issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Adaptability to work on-site, overseeing project execution and ensuring quality control.
