Deputy General Manager - Finance & Accounts

Role Overview:

As the DGM - Finance & Accounts, you will be a critical leader in managing the financial health and strategic direction of the organization, particularly as we navigate the complexities of the IPO process. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, managing banking relationships, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external auditors, and investment bankers to ensure a smooth and successful IPO. Your expertise will directly impact the company's ability to access capital markets, drive growth, and enhance shareholder value.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the preparation and execution of the company's IPO, working closely with investment bankers, legal counsel, and auditors to ensure compliance and successful listing.

- Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations for internal and external stakeholders.

- Manage banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and optimize cash flow to support the company's operational and strategic objectives.

- Ensure compliance with FEMA regulations, managing foreign currency transactions and reporting requirements to mitigate risks and maintain regulatory adherence.

- Direct the organization's GST compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of returns and managing audits to minimize tax liabilities.

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.

- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management, supporting informed decision-making and driving business performance.

- Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing the financial aspects of an IPO, including experience with prospectus preparation, due diligence, and regulatory filings.

- Proven ability to manage banking relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and optimize cash flow.

- In-depth knowledge of FEMA regulations and experience managing foreign currency transactions.

- Strong understanding of GST laws and regulations, with experience in filing returns and managing audits.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
