Deputy General Manager/Assistant Vice President - Finance - Business Unit Control - CA

Role Overview:

This role will act as a key finance partner for a cluster of business units within the framework, driving financial controllership, operational rigor, and performance visibility. The incumbent will work closely with the Finance Controller and business teams to ensure strong governance while enabling commercial agility and scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Controllership:

- Partner with internal finance stakeholders & BU leadership to drive financial performance, profitability, and cost efficiency

- Ensure robust monthly/quarterly closures with high accuracy and adherence to accounting standards

- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance within the governance framework

2. Financial Operations:

- Oversee financial operations including revenue, payables, receivables, and working capital

- Drive efficiency in inventory management, vendor payouts, and cash flow cycles

- Lead process standardization and automation aligned with the systems and ERP

3. Reporting & Governance:

- Deliver structured MIS, dashboards, and business reviews for senior leadership

- Support consolidation and reporting requirements at the level

- Ensure audit readiness and strengthen governance processes across the BU

5. Strategic & Commercial Support:

- Support margin improvement and cost optimization programs

- Provide financial inputs for new launches, partnerships, and channel expansion

Qualifications & Experience:

- CA (Chartered Accountant) - Mandatory

- 10-12 years of experience in controllership roles

- Prior experience in e-commerce / retail / FMCG preferred

- Exposure to multi-channel / omni-channel business models, Experience in Tax & Treasury is a plus
