Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Head Accounts, the DGM Accounts will act as the second-in-command within the Accounts function. The role involves leading financial reporting, controllership, audit coordination, statutory compliance, MIS reporting, and finance process improvements while ensuring robust financial controls and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities across multiple entities.
- Prepare financial statements, schedules, management MIS reports, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accuracy of accounting records, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop advanced Excel-based MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical models for management reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and business analysis.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance-related initiatives.
- Drive ERP enhancements, finance automation, and process improvement projects.
- Strengthen internal financial controls, documentation, and accounting processes.
- Mentor and guide finance team members while independently managing key finance workstreams.
- Support the Head Accounts in strategic finance and operational initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience (Post Articleship preferred).
- CA IPCC Cleared or CA Final (Any Group Cleared).
- Strong experience in end-to-end accounting and financial closing.
- Hands-on exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
- Experience coordinating with auditors and external consultants.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong MIS reporting skills.
- Good understanding of ERP systems and finance process automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage assignments with minimal supervision.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting environments will be an added advantage.
