About the Role:
As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional OMNI customer experience, driving commercial results, and leading your team with a strong focus on visual merchandising, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This is a key leadership role within the store, where you will act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that your department meets both its sales goals and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all customers receive a seamless, OMNI-channel experience (offline & online integration).
- Represent the brand positively by maintaining high service standards and building strong customer relationships.
- Empower your team to engage, inspire, and convert customers, ensuring a consistent in-store experience.
- Take full ownership of the department's sales and budget targets.
- Analyze daily/weekly sales reports and customer trends to identify commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to create and execute action plans for performance improvement and promotional strategies.
- Monitor and manage KPIs such as conversion rate, UPT (units per transaction), and ATV (average transaction value).
- Implement and maintain visual standards in line with global brand guidelines.
- Oversee stock rotation, replenishment, and in-store presentation to maximize product visibility.
- Ensure floor planning, display execution, and zoning are customer-centric and commercially effective.
- Lead, motivate, and coach a team of sales associates and department staff.
- Conduct regular team briefings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
- Identify development needs and create training and upskilling opportunities to build team capability.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with brand values.
- Ensure adherence to store operating procedures, including inventory accuracy, loss prevention, cash handling, and safety protocols.
- Support the Store Manager in daily operations such as opening/closing, stock takes, and customer issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate staff scheduling to ensure optimal floor coverage.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Graduate in Retail, Fashion, Business Management, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
- 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in retail operations, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
- Prior experience as a Team Leader, Department Manager, or Assistant Store Manager is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Commercially savvy with good analytical and decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for fashion retail, customer service, and team engagement.
- Proficiency in POS systems, Excel, and retail sales tools.
