The purpose of this role:


The purpose of this role is to implement and execute SEO initiatives, in line with the agreed strategy, to maintain, develop and exceed client performance targets.


Job Description:


Key responsibilities:


- Plans and executes SEO initiatives and is responsible for their tactical and strategic development.


- Liaises with vendors and third party reps to maintain and develop relationships and build knowledge of new features and betas.


- Interprets performance reports to provide actionable insights and analysis to meet campaign objectives.


- Coaches and develops junior staff, supervising their projects and day to day activities.


- Builds strong relationships across client services team and with client.

Required Skills & Qualifications:


Experience:


3-5 years of proven experience in SEO, with a significant portion in an account management or client-facing role, preferably within a digital marketing agency.


SEO Expertise:


- Strong understanding of SEO best practices across technical, on-page, and off-page SEO.


- Proficiency with leading SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).


- Knowledge of various content management systems (CMS) and basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.


Analytical Skills:


Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.


Communication:


Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently, articulate complex technical concepts simply, and build rapport with clients.


Client Management:


Proven ability to manage client relationships, set expectations, and drive client satisfaction.


Project Management:


Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and priorities simultaneously.


Results-Oriented:


A data-driven mindset with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding client performance targets.


Proactive & Adaptable:


Eager to learn, proactive in identifying opportunities, and adaptable to the evolving SEO landscape.


Education:


Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools) are a plus.
