TEAM BACKGROUND : You will be a part of the Marketing & Communication team at Decathlon, with a specific focus on driving the digital marketing strategies & channels. You will contribute to acquiring new customers, retain existing customers and improve the overall ROAS of marketing investments. Key Responsibilities : Agency Collaboration : - Manage relationships with PR agencies to ensure alignment with our communication strategy and objectives. - Evaluate and provide feedback on agency performance. Stakeholder Engagement : - Work closely with top management to understand business priorities and craft communication strategies. - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external. PR Campaign Development : - Develop and execute comprehensive PR campaigns for product launches, company news, and significant events. - Coordinate with marketing and other departments to ensure integrated and cohesive campaigns. Brand Awareness and Image Building : - Identify and capitalize on PR opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation. - Promote our sustainability initiatives and community involvement. Media Relations : - Secure media coverage and manage press releases, media kits, and other PR materials. Crisis Communication : - Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to manage and mitigate negative publicity. Monitoring and Reporting : - Track and analyze media coverage, providing regular reports and insights to management. - Adjust PR strategies based on performance data and emerging trends. - Event Management : - Plan and execute PR events, including press conferences, product launches, and community events. - Ensure events are effectively communicated and covered by the media. Qualifications: - Bachelor's/ Masters degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of experience in public relations, preferably within a consumer-facing industry. - Proven experience working with PR agencies and managing media relations. - Strong understanding of the Indian media landscape and experience in handling both traditional and digital media. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. - Creative and strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and leveraging PR opportunities. - Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. - Passion for sports and an understanding of Decathlon's mission and values - Case Study Assignment: PR Strategy Development for Decathlon Sports India Overview: This case study assignment is designed to assess your ability to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns, manage media relations, and handle crisis communication effectively.
