- Develop and execute a country-specific business plan to achieve ambitious sales, profitability, and market-share targets in SEA
- Identify and secure new business opportunities (B2B) and strategic partnerships that align with the company's global vision and local market needs
- Manage and further develop the existing business in SEA Market, driving growth and optimising commercial performance
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and the new business team to develop and implement market-entry and sales strategies to achieve aggressive revenue goals
- Drive new business strategies and nurture opportunities from new and warm leads.
- Drive and own new business opportunities while expanding on existing markets and proactively increasing market share.
- Lead the transition from distributor partnerships to direct operations
- Oversee day-to-day business operations, including comprehensive budget planning, financial forecasting, and effective resource allocation
- Establish operational infrastructure in SEA, including legal entity setup, local processes, and commercial capabilities
- Drive and own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation, nurturing opportunities from new and warm leads in SEA markets
- Assume full P&L ownership across the cluster with direct report to General Manager
- Build and scale the local organisation over time, hiring key talent, shaping the structure, and providing leadership as the business grows
- Navigate regulatory, pricing, and reimbursement frameworks specific to each market
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, KOLs, and institutional decision-makers
Qualifications- B. Pharm / M. Pharm with strong grounding in pharmaceutical sciences.
- MBA (preferred) with specialization in Strategy, International Business, or Marketing
Experience- Minimum 15 years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector
Knowledge & Technical Expertise:
- Proven track record of launching, building, or scaling a market or business unit, not solely managing an established operation
- Strong understanding of SEA markets
- Hands-on commercial leader, equally credible developing strategy and executing it
Job Role Requirement - Must/Threshold/Output- Experience working with or transitioning from distributor-based models to direct operations is an advantage
- Comfortable operating with high autonomy, minimal structure, and limited local support, particularly in the initial phase
- Strong stakeholder management skills across commercial, medical, and regulatory functions
Threshold Requirement in the Job role (additional but not mandatory)- Prior experience in setting up legal entities or operational infrastructure in SEA markets.
- Hands-on involvement in pricing and reimbursement negotiations with government or institutional stakeholders.
- Experience in digital health solutions or leveraging technology for commercial operations.
- Proven ability to scale organizations from zero to growth stage.
- Experience in talent acquisition and organizational design in emerging markets.
- Exposure to cross-border regulatory frameworks and multi-country compliance
- Expected Output (Quantitative/Qualitative) from the role in current or next 1 year
- Deliver 15-20% YoY growth in SEA cluster revenue.
- Successfully establish direct operations in 1-2 priority SEA markets (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand).
- Secure 3-5 strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions, distributors, or government bodies
- Hire and onboard 5-10 key leadership and commercial roles to establish local organizational capability
- Complete legal entity registration, compliance frameworks, and local processes in at least one major SEA market
- Achieve profitability targets while maintaining budget discipline and optimized resource allocation.
- Lead the shift from distributor-based model to direct operations, ensuring minimal disruption and strong client retention
- Position the company as a credible, innovative healthcare partner in SEA markets.
- Build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and institutional decision-makers.
- Establish credibility with local regulators and pricing authorities, ensuring compliance and smooth market access
- Foster a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture within the SEA team.
- Provide regular, actionable market intelligence reports to global HQ, influencing broader APAC strategy
