Country Head - Vietnam, Indonesia & US (Multiple Positions)
Require 3 country Heads for Geographies mentioned above for a leading Lifestyle brand that has been creating beautiful homes since 3 decades and deal in products placed in Bedrooms, Dining and Living rooms of Luxury homes comprising of fabrics, furniture, bed & bath linen and dcor with a focus on Simple Quiet Luxury Living.

ROLE:
Country Manager(s) for Vietnam, US, Indonesia (Identified Geographies).
The Country Manager will create, lead and oversee:
- Brand manufacturing and distribution presence in the identified geography on first sale principle & re-export to target geography.
- Profitable business while cultivating key relationships to support sustainable growth.
- S(he) will collaborate closely with:
- local manufacturing partner(s) /local supply chain partners/local regulators/government authorities.
- India team of Senior Leadership team of Marketing, Projects, Design & sampling, legal & finance teams.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Market Access:
- Leverage preferential access in identified geography and other trading partners(Final destination geography) for new markets.
- Identify, develop and capture leads and opportunities for target export geography
Value addition and manufacturing:
- Leverage industry contacts for strategic intelligence and conducts viability analysis.
- Relationships with industry contacts with contract manufacturing infrastructure in the identified geography
- Manufacture in the Identified Geography and re-distribution to Final destination geography of the Home furnishings/Furniture/Home products.
- Oversee manufacturing and/or QC contributing to the value of the goods before re-export.
Supply Chain and logistics :
- Establish & streamline supply chain between the manufacturing geography and final destination importer with focus on reduced transit time and costs.
Regulations and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to regulations of identified geography and final destination geography for value addition including country of origin(COO) rules, manufacture and re-export.
- Assist with documentation, customs procedures and ensure transactions meet with requirements of all current regulations for manufacture and reexport.
COLLABORATION with India Leadership (CMO,CFO, Projects, Designers etc):
- Participates in reviews and provides ongoing feedback to top management on the status of order win efforts and business viability.
- Make price to win proposals and approval of product samples by the potential client
- Make appropriate commercial proposals for operations in the Identified country
- Maintain the brand integrity & brand value consistency
Knowledge and Experience
(A) Functional
- Working knowledge of textile construction and development from fibre to processing, dyeing, finishing and testing.
- Extensive experience of working and business development in Home Furnishings/Furniture/Home categories from manufacturing geography and re-export geography.
(B) Identified Geography Knowledge and Experience
- Business Registration and Licensing: Knowledge of the process for establishing and registering a business in Identified geography, obtaining relevant licenses for import and export activities.
- Import and Export Procedures: Thorough understanding of Identified geography customs regulations, documentation requirements (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin), and clearance processes for both importing goods for value-addition and re-exporting the finished products.
- Foreign Trade Laws: Knowledge of Identified geography's foreign trade management laws, including regulations on banned or restricted goods, and the requirements for obtaining necessary permits for certain imports/exports.
- Understanding financial transactions related to international trade, including payment methods, foreign exchange, and potential risks.
- Free Trade Agreements (FTAs): Understanding identified geography's participation in various Free Trade Agreements and their implications on tariffs, rules of origin, and market access for re-exported goods.
- Taxation: Familiarity with identified geography's tax regulations, including import/export duties, VAT, and any special consumption taxes applicable to the goods being processed or re-exported.
- Logistics: Expertise in managing transportation, warehousing, and inventory, both for inbound materials and outbound finished products, optimizing efficiency and minimizing delays.
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with international trade, such as currency fluctuations, political instability, or changes in regulations.
(C) Management skills:
- Communication /Negotiation: Effectively communicating with suppliers, customers, and relevant authorities.
- Building networks: Building relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other relevant stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically and plan over a 1 to 5-year time span.
- Comfortable working in an individual capacity and collaborating with management and support teams in a different time zone.
- Ability to articulate solutions in a clear concise and persuasive manner.
