Container Freight Station Head - Logistics

This opening is for an integrated logistics company offering freight forwarding, project cargo, container freight stations (CFS), transportation, and coastal shipping. They provide customs and end-to-end logistics solutions and are an Indian-owned multinational (Indian MNC).

Role Overview:

The CFS Head is responsible for running the entire CFS business like a CEO of the location. The person ensures smooth operations, profitability, customer satisfaction, compliance with Customs and Port authorities, and achievement of business targets.

Job Details:

- Job Location: Chennai (Minjur).

- CTC: 50 LPA.

Key Requirements:

- Strong CFS/ICD/Port operations experience.

- Proven P&L management and commercial understanding.

- Experience in pricing, budgeting, and cost optimization.

- Strong relationships with Customs, Ports, Shipping Lines, and Railways.

- Leadership experience in managing large teams and stakeholders.

- Exposure to digital transformation and process automation.

Key Responsibilities:

- 40% Operations: Managing CFS activities, yard, labour, equipment, compliance, and service delivery.

- 35% P&L & Commercials: Budgeting, profitability, pricing, cost control, contract negotiations, and financial performance.

- 15% Business Development & Customer Management: Managing shipping lines, customers, and stakeholder relationships.

- 10% Strategy & Leadership: Business planning, automation initiatives, investments, and organizational development.
