
Our client is a leading global consulting firm on a strategic engagement with an industrial-grade boiler manufacturing client in the heavy engineering space. The project is part of a broader initiative to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and optimise plant operations.
As a consultant on this engagement, you will play a key role in supporting the setup and optimisation of manufacturing lines within a project-driven environment. This is a high-impact role where you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, improve processes, and enable successful execution of manufacturing setup initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the setup and commissioning of manufacturing lines or plant facilities
- Drive industrial engineering initiatives to optimise workflows, capacity, and productivity
- Collaborate with plant teams, project stakeholders, and engineering functions to ensure smooth execution
- Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements in layout, line balancing, and efficiency
- Contribute to project planning, execution tracking, and on-ground implementation support
- Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and operational targets
Your Background:
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering
- Strong experience in project-based manufacturing environments (not product-based roles)
- Hands-on exposure to plant setup, line commissioning, or manufacturing facility development
- Background in heavy engineering, EPC, or boiler manufacturing preferred (e.g., BHEL, Thermax, ISGEC, etc.)
- Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related field with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in on-site, execution-driven environments
This is a 9-month (extendable) contractual opportunity based in Pune, with occasional travel to nearby site locations. If you have the needed experience and skill sets, we encourage you to apply!
