About the Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and patient-focused General Medicine Consultant to join a reputed healthcare institution in Agartala. This role is ideal for a qualified physician who can independently manage a wide range of medical conditions, provide accurate diagnosis, and deliver high-quality patient care across OPD, IPD, and emergency settings.
The selected candidate will play a key role in internal medicine practice, preventive healthcare, chronic disease management, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure the best treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions affecting adult patients.
- Manage OPD consultations, inpatient care, and emergency medical cases.
- Conduct detailed patient evaluations, clinical examinations, and treatment planning.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, pathology reports, imaging results, and clinical findings.
- Manage lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, and respiratory illnesses.
- Provide preventive healthcare guidance, wellness counseling, and long-term disease management plans.
- Coordinate with specialists for referrals and multidisciplinary treatment when required.
- Monitor admitted patients, modify treatment protocols, and ensure smooth recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical records, prescriptions, and clinical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to hospital quality standards, infection control norms, and ethical medical practices.
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MD in General Medicine / Internal Medicine or DNB Medicine.
- Valid medical registration with relevant medical council.
- Relevant post-qualification experience as a Consultant / Physician preferred.
