
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Compliance Officer in a medical device manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Ethics, Compliance and ABAC programs covering HCPs, healthcare institutions, government engagements, tenders and distributors.
- Develop and monitor policies for HCP engagements, gifts and hospitality, sponsorships, KOL/proctorship programs and government interactions.
- Manage third-party due diligence, distributor risk assessment, audits and compliance investigations.
- Ensure compliance with the DPDP Act, 2023 for patient, HCP and business data.
- Drive compliance training, monitoring, audits, investigations and CAPA closure across functions.
- Manage the Speak Up/Whistleblower mechanism and report key risks to senior management/Board.
- Provide practical compliance guidance to Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality and Finance teams.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of IFPMA, AdvaMed, UCMDMP/UCMPMD, ABAC/FCPA principles and DPDP Act, 2023.
- Experience in compliance, ethics, risk management, investigations and third-party risk.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, investigative and communication skills.
- Ability to build a strong compliance culture while enabling business growth.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Law, Business, Life Sciences, Risk Management or related field.
- 8+ years' experience in Compliance/Ethics/Risk Management, preferably in MedTech, Pharma or other regulated MNCs.
- Exposure to medical-device tenders, interventional cardiology or government/institutional sales will be an advantage.
