Job Title: Cluster Financial Controller (CFC)

Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

Industry Preference: Power Transmission & Distribution / EPC / Infrastructure Projects

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory

Nationality: Indian (Currently based in India preferred)

Experience: Minimum 20 Years

Position Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Cluster Financial Controller (CFC) to lead and oversee the complete financial management of multiple business units/projects within the organization. The role is equivalent to that of a Finance Head/CFO-level finance leader, responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, governance, risk management, treasury, and business partnering.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities and extensive experience in large-scale Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Power, EPC, Infrastructure, or Engineering organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Strategy:

- Lead the overall finance function for the assigned cluster/business units.

- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and business leaders.

- Support business growth initiatives through financial planning and analysis.

- Drive profitability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency across projects and business units.

Financial Planning & Budgeting:

- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

- Monitor financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.

- Analyze business trends, project profitability, and financial risks.

Financial Reporting & Controls:

- Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate governance standards, and internal financial policies.

- Oversee consolidation of financial reports across multiple entities/projects.

Project Finance Management:

- Monitor project financial performance, cash flow, margins, and working capital.

- Review project costing, revenue recognition, and contract profitability.

- Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial discipline and project success.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management:

- Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and funding requirements.

- Optimize working capital and oversee receivables, payables, and cash management.

- Evaluate financing strategies and investment opportunities.

Compliance, Audit & Taxation:

- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.

- Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

- Manage statutory reporting, tax planning, and regulatory filings.

Risk Management & Governance:

- Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

- Strengthen internal controls and risk management frameworks.

- Ensure adherence to ethical business practices and corporate governance standards.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across the cluster.

- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Minimum 20 years of progressive finance experience.

- Proven experience as Financial Controller, Finance Head, CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent leadership role.

- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, treasury, taxation, and audits.

- Experience managing large-scale projects and multi-entity financial operations.

Preferred:

- Experience in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) companies.

- Experience in Power, EPC, Infrastructure, Engineering, Utilities, or Industrial Projects sectors.

- Prior experience working in the GCC/Middle East environment is an advantage.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS, project accounting, and financial governance frameworks.
