CityMall is a series-D funded (Raised series D round of $47 Mn recently in Sep 2025) e-commerce platform focused on 500 million new to internet users, collectively referred to as Bharat. As a horizontal e-commerce player, CityMall focuses on categories including grocery, FMCG products, electronics, apparel, household items & general merchandise.
Bharat consumers are untouched by traditional E-commerce with large players like Flipkart, Blinkit & Big Basket largely operating in the tier-1 & metropolitan cities of India and focusing on relatively premium households. Role Overview - Head User Acquisition
We're looking for a data-driven, experiments-obsessed Head of User Acquisition to turbocharge CityMall's growth engine. You will own all levers of paid and organic acquisition - from performance marketing to local GTM activations - and build a predictable, profitable user-growth funnel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall new user acquisitions
- Creating and executing a strong performance marketing strategy & execution plan.
- Own end-to-end user acquisition across Meta, Google UAC, ASA, programmatic, affiliates, OEMs, and emerging channels
- Drive performance-led influencer partnerships
- Plan new user pricing and offers to drive on-platform conversions and ROI
- Managing budgets and campaigns across all digital channels to drive strong return on investment and efficient CAC
- Drive cross-functional alignment with product, brand, category, and finance
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in performance marketing / growth, ideally in fast-scaling consumer tech startups (e-commerce, quick commerce, social commerce, fintech, mobility)
- In-depth understanding of the online marketing landscape to plan and execute strategies in search & display marketing, social media, affiliate marketing and others
- Hunger to experiment, bias for action, and comfort working in ambiguity
- Experience in executing online customer acquisition campaigns at a large scale
- Excellent analytical skills and leverage data, metrics, analytics, and consumer behaviour trends to drive actionable insights & recommendations
- Ecommerce experience is plus plus
