Chief Technology Officer - Telecom Fiber Infrastructure

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a leading organization in the telecom infrastructure and digital connectivity space.

This is a critical, board-level mandate to lead technology vision, network strategy, and large-scale fiber infrastructure rollout, while enabling future-ready capabilities across next-generation connectivity.

Job Title: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Reports To: CEO

Location: Navi Mumbai

Role Mandate:

- Define and execute the organization's end-to-end technology and network strategy across long-haul, metro, and last-mile fiber

- Architect scalable, resilient infrastructure supporting FTTx, backbone networks, and enterprise connectivity

- Drive deployment and optimization of advanced technologies including GPON, XGS-PON, DWDM, SDN, and network automation

- Lead large-scale network rollout programs with full ownership of delivery, cost, and quality metrics

- Ensure best-in-class network uptime, SLA adherence, and operational excellence through automation and predictive systems

- Champion innovation across 5G backhaul, edge infrastructure, and AI-led network optimization

- Build strategic partnerships with OEMs, vendors, and ecosystem players

Key Deliverables:

- Network expansion as per business growth targets (route km, capacity, and coverage).

- Improved network reliability and reduced mean time to repair (MTTR).

- Cost-efficient network operations and optimized asset utilization.

- Implementation of digital network management tools and automation.

- Successful rollout of advanced technologies (XGS-PON, DWDM, SDN).

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.

- Experience: 15-25 years in telecom fiber infrastructure with leadership experience in planning, rollout, and network operations.

- Proven expertise in FTTx, backbone and metro network design, and optical transmission systems.

- Strong background in vendor management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

Skills & Competencies:

- Deep technical understanding of optical fiber networks and telecom infrastructure.

- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution.

- Proficiency in tools like GIS, AutoCAD, NMS/OSS, and project management platforms.

- Leadership and stakeholder management skills across large, distributed teams.

- Ability to innovate and adapt technology for business advantage.
