Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Reports to: Managing Director
Industry: Electrical Infrastructure & High-Voltage (HV) Manufacturing
Executive Summary:
The CTO will be the visionary leader responsible for the companys technical roadmap. This role demands a rare blend of Electromechanical Design expertise and Digital Transformation leadership. You will oversee R&D, Product Design, and Quality Assurance, ensuring that our transformers remain at the cutting edge of efficiency, reliability, and "IoT readiness" while maintaining strict adherence to ISO and NABL standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Innovation & R&D Strategy
- Next-Gen Design: Lead the design and development of high-capacity transformers (Extra High Voltage - EHV), ensuring they meet global standards for low loss and high thermal efficiency.
- Smart Transformers: Drive the integration of IoT sensors and diagnostic tools into traditional transformer units to enable "Smart Monitoring" and predictive maintenance for utility clients.
- Green Energy Integration: Develop specialized transformer solutions for Renewable Energy sectors (Solar and Wind farms).
2. Engineering & Manufacturing Excellence
- Process Automation: Spearhead the transition toward Industry 4.0 on the factory floor, utilizing automation to increase MVA production capacity while reducing lead times.
- Design Optimization: Utilize advanced 3D modeling and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to optimize material usage (copper, CRGO steel) without compromising structural integrity.
- NABL & ISO Standards: Ensure the companys testing laboratories maintain NABL accreditation and that all products exceed ISO 9001 and 14001 quality benchmarks.
3. Strategic Technical Leadership
4. Stakeholder & Project Management
Experience: 20+ years in the Electrical Power Industry, with at least 8 years in a technical leadership role (Head of R&D or Technical Director).
Education: Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering (Specialization in High Voltage or Power Systems preferred).
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of transformer design software, insulation coordination, and electromagnetic field analysis.
