About the Role:

Vahura has been mandated to lead a confidential search for a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for a client based in Mumbai.

This is a confidential leadership search and further details regarding the organisation and mandate will be shared selectively with relevant candidates during the process.

The Mandate:

The CHRO will lead the people agenda across areas including:

- HR strategy and transformation aligned with the organisation's growth priorities

- Organisation design and capability building for the next phase of scale

- Leadership, succession and senior talent management

- Performance, rewards and talent frameworks

- Culture and change management

- Building and strengthening the HR function, systems and processes

- Acting as a trusted adviser to the Board/Managing Committee and senior leadership

- Translating strategic priorities into initiatives that are practical, implementable and measurable

- Remaining sufficiently hands-on and close to the business, rather than operating purely at a policy or advisory level

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an accomplished HR leader with approximately 20 - 27 years of experience and a strong academic and professional track record.

The individual should ideally bring:

- Significant experience working in complex, high-performance and talent-intensive environments

- A demonstrated ability to engage with, advise and influence CEOs, Boards, Management Committees and senior business leaders

- Experience leading meaningful HR or organisational transformation

- Strong exposure to leadership development, succession, organisation design, culture and talent strategy

- The ability to balance strategic thinking with execution

- Strong commercial orientation and an understanding of how the people agenda connects with broader business priorities

- The gravitas and confidence to constructively challenge senior stakeholders, while building trust and consensus

- A track record that demonstrates sustained progression, quality of experience and leadership impact

Preferred Background:

- Consulting

- BFSI

- Financial Services

- Global Banks

- Investment Banking

- Private Equity or Investment Platforms

- Big Four or Professional Services

- Technology and other sophisticated knowledge-led businesses

Candidates from adjacent sectors with a similarly strong pedigree and experience managing complex senior stakeholder environments may also be considered.

Mumbai. Candidates currently based elsewhere should be open to relocating to Mumbai.
