Chief Financial Officer (CFO):

Role Overview:

An upcoming major retail company is looking for a commercially oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the Finance function and partner closely with the CEO and leadership team in driving profitable growth, financial discipline, capital allocation, governance and business transformation.

The CFO will oversee Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Controllership, Tax, Compliance, MIS, Risk Management and Finance Transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Business Partnering:

- Lead the overall Finance function and provide strategic financial leadership to the CEO and Management.

- Drive P&L performance, profitability, cash flows and return on capital.

- Provide insights on store economics, margins, revenue share, working capital and profitability.

FP&A & Performance Management:

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, business planning and long-range financial planning.

- Drive monthly/quarterly performance reviews, variance analysis and corrective actions.

- Develop financial models for new stores, tenders, acquisitions, JVs and strategic initiatives.

Treasury, Capital & Working Capital:

- Lead banking relationships, fund raising, liquidity and treasury operations.

- Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, inventory and receivables.

Controllership, Governance & Compliance:

- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures.

- Lead statutory/internal audits, tax and regulatory compliance.

- Strengthen financial controls, SOPs, approval matrices and governance.

Strategic & Commercial Support:

- Support the CEO and leadership team on acquisitions, JVs, tenders, new business opportunities and strategic projects.

- Evaluate commercial proposals, contracts, revenue-share arrangements and investments.

- Lead financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions and new businesses.

Ideal Candidate:

- CA with 12 - 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in Retail, F&B, QSR, Consumer, Travel Retail or other multi-location businesses.

- Experience in a CFO / Finance Head / senior Finance leadership role.

- Strong expertise in P&L management, FP&A, treasury, working capital and controllership.

- Proven experience as a business partner to the CEO and senior leadership.

- Experience in ERP implementation, finance transformation and process automation.

- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to balance growth, profitability, cash and risk.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
