Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the overall finance function of a growing real estate organization. The role will serve as a strategic financial advisor to the Managing Director and Promoters, with responsibility for project finance, treasury, capital allocation, taxation, financial planning, risk management, and overall financial governance.

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.

- 18 - 25 years of overall experience in finance.

- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance, or equivalent senior finance leadership role.

- Extensive experience in Real Estate project finance.

- Strong experience managing large development pipelines and complex real estate projects.

- Proven expertise in treasury management, strategic capital allocation, debt financing, and banking relationships.

- Strong knowledge of corporate taxation and financial risk management.

- CFA or other relevant advanced financial qualifications will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Act as the key financial advisor to the Managing Director and Promoters.

- Provide strategic inputs on investments, project launches, business expansion, and financial risks.

- Evaluate investment opportunities and assess financial feasibility through IRR, ROI, and other financial metrics.

- Develop long-term financial strategies aligned with business growth objectives.

Project Finance:

- Evaluate and structure financing for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and redevelopment projects.

- Lead project feasibility analysis, financial modelling, funding requirements, and capital structuring.

- Assess project profitability, cash flows, returns, and associated financial risks.

- Monitor project finance performance throughout the development lifecycle.

Treasury & Liquidity Management:

- Own the organization's overall cash-flow and liquidity strategy.

- Manage debt financing, refinancing, working capital, and funding requirements.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.

- Optimize the organization's funding structure and cost of capital.

- Ensure adequate liquidity to support project execution and business operations.

Financial Planning & Performance:

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.

- Monitor financial performance, profitability, cash flows, and key financial KPIs.

- Provide timely financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

- Drive cost optimization and financial efficiency across the organization.

Taxation & Compliance:

- Oversee corporate taxation, tax planning, and statutory financial compliance.

- Ensure effective financial controls, governance, and risk-management frameworks.

- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, regulators, and other external stakeholders.

Leadership & Governance:

- Lead and mentor the finance, accounts, treasury, taxation, and related teams.

- Establish strong financial processes, controls, policies, and governance mechanisms.

- Collaborate with business, legal, projects, sales, and other functions on strategic initiatives.

- Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to the Promoters and senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience:

- CA qualification - Mandatory.

- 18 - 25 years of relevant finance experience.

- 5+ years in a CFO / Finance Director / Head of Finance or equivalent leadership position.

- Extensive Real Estate industry experience.

- Strong expertise in Real Estate project finance and financial modelling.

- Strong understanding of IRR, ROI, project feasibility, and capital structuring.

- Expertise in treasury, liquidity management, debt financing, and banking.

- Strong knowledge of corporate taxation.

- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Senior finance professionals with significant experience in large-scale real estate development organizations.

- Candidates with experience across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and redevelopment projects.

- CFA or additional finance qualifications will be an advantage.

- Strong experience working directly with promoters, MDs, boards, and senior leadership teams.
