Chief Financial Officer - IT

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly accomplished Corporate Finance professional to lead the organization's financial strategy, capital planning, fundraising initiatives, and investor engagement. This is a strategic leadership role that will work closely with the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, investors, and key external stakeholders to drive sustainable growth, optimize capital structure, and support long-term business objectives.

The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in corporate finance, fundraising, financial modeling, business valuation, strategic planning, and investor relations. Candidates with experience in Startups, FinTech, IT, ITeS, SaaS, or KPO organizations will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the organization's long-term financial strategy aligned with business growth objectives.

- Evaluate strategic business opportunities and provide financial recommendations to the executive leadership team.

- Lead capital allocation decisions to maximize shareholder value.

- Design and optimize the company's capital structure to support expansion plans.

- Drive strategic initiatives related to business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

- Prepare financial feasibility studies for new business opportunities and expansion projects.

- Lead equity and debt fundraising initiatives across multiple funding rounds.

- Manage relationships with Venture Capital (VC), Private Equity (PE), institutional investors, banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions.

- Prepare investor presentations, pitch decks, financial models, and investment memorandums.

- Coordinate end-to-end fundraising processes including due diligence, negotiations, documentation, and financial closures.

- Evaluate funding alternatives and recommend optimal financing strategies.

Investor Relations:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective investors.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, board members, lenders, and financial partners.

- Prepare quarterly and annual investor reports, business updates, and performance presentations.

- Support Board meetings by preparing financial insights, strategic reports, and business performance reviews.

- Communicate financial performance, growth strategy, and future outlook to stakeholders.

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

- Develop robust financial models for business planning, investment decisions, and scenario analysis.

- Analyze key business drivers, profitability, cash flow, and operational performance.

- Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Monitor financial KPIs and recommend corrective actions where required.

- Build complex financial models for fundraising, acquisitions, investments, and strategic planning.

- Perform company valuations using DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transactions, and other valuation methodologies.

- Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and financial risk assessments.

- Support strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis.

- Identify and evaluate acquisition, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities.

- Lead financial due diligence and valuation exercises for mergers and acquisitions.

- Coordinate with legal, tax, investment banking, and consulting teams throughout transaction lifecycles.

- Support post-merger integration planning and execution.

- Develop treasury strategies to optimize liquidity and working capital.

- Monitor cash flow forecasts and funding requirements.

- Manage banking relationships and optimize borrowing structures.

- Ensure efficient utilization of financial resources while minimizing financing costs.

- Lead financial due diligence during fundraising, acquisitions, and strategic investments.

- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, legal advisors, investment bankers, and tax professionals.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and governance requirements.

- Review transaction documentation, term sheets, and financial agreements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to drive strategic initiatives.

- Present financial analyses and strategic recommendations to senior management and Board members.

- Build relationships with external advisors, auditors, investment banks, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions.

- Influence key business decisions through data-driven financial insights.

Strategic Planning:

- Partner with business leaders to identify growth opportunities and expansion strategies.

- Evaluate new business models, investments, and strategic partnerships.

- Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and industry analysis.

- Support business transformation and organizational growth initiatives.

Skills:

- CA (Chartered Accountant) and/or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.

- 10-15 years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Fundraising, or Strategic Finance.

- Prior experience in Startups, FinTech, SaaS, IT, ITeS, KPO, or high-growth organizations is highly preferred.

- Proven experience managing fundraising rounds and investor engagement.

- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and capital markets.

- Experience working with founders, CXOs, Board members, and institutional investors.

- Exposure to M&A transactions and strategic investments will be an added advantage.
