Chief Financial Officer - IPO Readiness - Luxury Retail

We're Hiring: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Mumbai

About the Role:

We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven CFO to lead the finance function and drive IPO readiness, governance, compliance, and business growth. The ideal candidate must have mandatory prior IPO / listed-company exposure and experience working with investment bankers, auditors, and legal advisors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead IPO readiness, due diligence, and listing preparation.

- Partner with CEO on strategy, budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

- Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management.

- Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits; manage due diligence.

- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI, and tax laws.

- Drive MIS, reporting, and performance analytics.

- Optimise working capital, treasury, and liquidity.

- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance.

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team.

- Present financial insights to CEO, Board, and investors.

Requirements:

- CA qualification is mandatory.

- Prior IPO / pre-IPO / listed-company exposure is mandatory.

- Strong experience in IPO readiness, due diligence, and capital markets.

- Strong exposure to audit, compliance, governance, and internal controls.

- Experience with Investment Bankers, Big 4 firms, and legal advisors.

- Strong understanding of SEBI, Companies Act, and accounting standards.

- Proven experience in strategic finance, FP&A, and business partnering.

- Retail / luxury / consumer industry experience preferred.

- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

- 15+ years of finance experience with senior leadership roles.

- CFO / Finance Director / Head of Finance in high-growth organisations.

- Experience in retail, luxury, D2C, or multi-store businesses.

- Experience in IPO-ready or recently listed organisations.
