Certified CA (Chartered Accountant):
- Possess a valid and active Chartered Accountant certification. This certification is a fundamental requirement, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
- The ideal candidate should be well-versed in applying these principles to real-world business scenarios, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial operations.
Experience with Large and Established SaaS-based IT Companies:
- Extensive experience working within the financial departments of large, established SaaS-based IT companies.
- This experience should encompass a deep understanding of the unique financial challenges and opportunities within the SaaS industry, including revenue recognition models (e.g., recurring revenue, subscription-based services), customer acquisition costs, and the importance of key SaaS metrics such as Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
- The candidate should be familiar with industry best practices for financial planning, reporting, and analysis within a SaaS environment.
Strong Experience in Fundraising, Specifically in Advanced Series (Above D) Rounds:
- Demonstrated success in leading and executing fundraising activities, with a specific focus on advanced Series rounds (Series E, F, and beyond).
- This includes a comprehensive understanding of the fundraising process, from initial valuation and investor targeting to due diligence, negotiation of terms, and closing of the round.
- The candidate should possess a strong network of relationships with venture capital firms, private equity firms, and other potential investors. Experience in structuring complex financing deals, managing investor relations, and effectively communicating the company's financial performance and growth prospects to investors is essential.
IPO Experience, Including Compliance Scrutiny and DHRP (Draft Red Herring Prospectus):
- Significant experience participating in or leading an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
- This includes a thorough understanding of the IPO process, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards. The candidate should have direct involvement in the preparation of the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DHRP), including the financial statements, management discussion and analysis, and risk factors.
- Experience in navigating the scrutiny of regulatory bodies, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is critical.
- The candidate should also be familiar with the responsibilities of a public company, including ongoing reporting requirements and investor relations.
Experience Managing Cross-Border Finance Agreements, Strategies, and Operations:
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-border finance agreements, strategies, and operations.
- This includes a strong understanding of international tax laws, transfer pricing regulations, and currency exchange risks.
- The candidate should have experience in structuring international finance transactions, managing foreign subsidiaries, and ensuring compliance with local regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in developing and implementing global finance strategies, optimizing cash flow across borders, and mitigating financial risks associated with international operations is essential.
Proven Finance Strategy, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), and Futuristic Thought Leadership:
- A track record of developing and implementing successful finance strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- The candidate should be a forward-thinking leader with the ability to anticipate future trends and challenges and develop innovative financial solutions to address them.
- This includes staying abreast of emerging technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's financial performance.
Team and Stakeholder Management Skills:
- Excellent team management and stakeholder management skills.
- This includes the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing finance team. The candidate should be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including executive management, board members, and other functional departments.
