CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO) - JOB DESCRIPTION

1. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Finance & Business Partnership: Partner with MD/CEO/Board on strategy, investments, growth plans, financial risks and major commercial decisions.

Financial Planning, Budget & MIS: Own annual budget, forecasts and monthly reviews; provide analysis of revenue, margins, EBITDA, PBT, cash flow and variances.

Business Performance & Profitability: Drive profitability analysis by customer, product, order and unit; identify margin leakage and corrective actions.

Treasury & Cash Flow: Ensure liquidity, rolling cash forecasts, banking relationships, funding availability and finance-cost optimisation.

Working Capital Management: Improve receivables, inventory and payables; monitor DSO, inventory turns and cash-conversion cycle.

Cost & Commercial Finance: Strengthen costing, pricing, customer profitability, material/labour cost analysis and cost-reduction initiatives.

Governance, Controls & Risk: Establish DOA, segregation of duties, SOPs, audit readiness and fraud-risk controls.

Tax, Audit & Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax, statutory reporting, audits and regulatory compliance.

2. STRATEGIC & OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead financial strategy, annual operating plan, forecasts and long-range financial planning.

- Review monthly actuals vs budget and provide actionable variance analysis.

- Build dashboards covering revenue, margins, EBITDA, working capital, inventory, receivables, cash flow, CAPEX and productivity.

- Drive cash-flow discipline, collections, inventory optimisation and supplier-payment strategy.

- Review pricing, customer/order profitability, credit limits, payment terms, deductions and commercial risks.

- Evaluate CAPEX business cases, ROI/IRR, payback, funding and post-investment performance.

- Manage banking facilities, working-capital limits, LC/BG, borrowing cost and forex exposure.

3. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure accurate accounting, timely month-end closing and financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.

- Strengthen internal controls, approval matrices, segregation of duties and SOP compliance.

- Coordinate statutory, internal, tax and banking audits; ensure timely closure of observations.

- Oversee GST, TDS, direct tax, customs/export matters, assessments and tax planning.

- Drive manufacturing cost analytics including material yield/wastage, labour productivity, overheads, rejection and rework.

- Lead export finance and foreign-exchange exposure management.

- Partner with procurement, operations, sales and HR to improve cost, productivity and commercial outcomes.

- Lead ERP/finance digitalisation, automated approvals, dashboards and analytics.

- Build a high-performing finance team with accountability, succession planning and capability development.
