Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Department: Finance & Accounts Reports To: Managing Director Location: Ahmedabad Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to the organization. The role involves overseeing all financial operations, ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, risk management, and supporting business growth through sound financial planning, analysis, and governance. The CFO will act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives. Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Drive long-term financial sustainability, profitability, and capital efficiency. Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.

2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis: Oversee annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial models. Monitor financial performance against budgets and business plans. Provide accurate MIS reports, variance analysis, and actionable insights to management. Evaluate investment proposals and capital expenditure (CapEx).

3. Accounting, Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations. Oversee statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits. Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements. Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks.

4. Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital efficiently. Oversee banking relationships, fund raising, loans, credit lines, and debt servicing. Optimize cash utilization and improve cash conversion cycle. Manage foreign exchange exposure and hedging strategies, where applicable.

5. Risk Management & Internal Controls: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks. Establish robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets. Ensure adherence to corporate governance, policies, and ethical standards. Oversee fraud prevention, detection, and corrective actions.

6. Taxation & Regulatory Affairs: Provide strategic tax planning to optimize tax efficiency. Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax laws. Handle assessments, notices, and litigation with tax authorities. Stay updated with regulatory changes impacting business operations.

7. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management: Act as a financial advisor to business heads and functional leaders. Support pricing strategies, cost optimization, and margin improvement initiatives. Liaise with auditors, bankers, investors, regulatory authorities, and consultants. Present financial performance and strategic updates to the Board and shareholders.

8. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance, accounts, and taxation teams. Build succession planning and high-performance culture within the finance function. Drive process automation, ERP implementation, and digital transformation in finance.

- Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting Cash flow management and working capital optimization Budget adherence and cost control Compliance and audit closure

- Return on investment (ROI) and profitability Risk mitigation and internal control effectiveness

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant (CMA) / MBA (Finance) preferred. Minimum 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance, including 5-7 years in a senior leadership role.


- Strong knowledge of Ind AS, taxation, corporate laws, and financial regulations. Experience in manufacturing / FMCG / infrastructure / service industry (as applicable). Proven experience in strategic finance, fund raising, and stakeholder management.
