We are seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy For a large manufacturing and marketing co, with a major plant in Tuticorin, Tamil nadu. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in corporate finance, project finance, capital markets, and regulatory compliance. The CFO will be a core member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), acting as a strategic partner to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Drive financial strategy aligned with long-term corporate objectives and shareholder value creation.
- Support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships across domestic and international markets.
- Provide executive oversight of treasury, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and investor relations.
Project & Infrastructure Finance:
- Lead financing strategy for greenfield and brownfield capex projects (e.g., new plants, capacity expansion).
- Secure cost-effective long-term funding from domestic and global institutions, including DFIs and multilateral agencies.
- Structure and manage syndicated loans, bonds, and structured instruments for large capital projects.
Capital Markets & Investor Relations:
- Oversee equity and debt capital raising through public markets, including IPO/FPO/QIP and private placements.
- Build and maintain transparent relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and rating agencies.
- Ensure timely disclosures, compliance with SEBI, NSE/BSE regulations, and proactive investor communication.
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance with Indian GAAP, IND AS, IFRS, and other financial regulations.
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and board committees including Audit and Risk Management.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and risk frameworks.
Operational Excellence:
- Optimize cost structures through financial discipline, working capital efficiency, and ERP- enabled analytics.
- Provide leadership in digital transformation of financial systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, data analytics).
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and R&D for cost-effective decision-making.
Leadership & Succession:
- Mentor and build a high-performing finance and strategy team with succession depth.
- Serve as a key thought partner to the CEO and Board on strategic growth, ESG, and governance matters.
- Demonstrate readiness for CEO succession through cross-functional leadership and business acumen.
Qualifications:
Education: CA/CPA/MBA (Finance) from a top-tier institution; CFA or additional certifications preferred.
Experience: 20+ years of progressive finance leadership in manufacturing/industrial sectors.
Minimum 5-7 years as CFO or senior finance executive in a listed entity.
Experience in chemical, fertilizer, or capital-intensive industries is a strong plus.
Proven success in project finance and managing large-scale infrastructure investments.
