Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer - FMCG

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic CEO/COO-level leader to drive the overall business for a leading FMCG organization in Kenya/Rwanda. The incumbent will have end-to-end P&L responsibility and will be responsible for business growth, profitability, operations, sales, supply chain, commercial strategy and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the overall P&L and business performance of the organization.

- Develop and execute business strategy to drive revenue growth, market expansion and profitability.

- Lead Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance and other key functions.

- Drive distribution expansion and strengthen market presence across Kenya/Rwanda and wider African markets.

- Optimize costs, working capital and operational efficiencies.

- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, suppliers and business partners.

- Identify new business opportunities, product categories and market expansion opportunities.

- Establish performance targets, KPIs and governance mechanisms across the organization.

- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing leadership team.

- Ensure compliance with local statutory, regulatory and corporate requirements.

- Work closely with the Board/Group leadership on strategic initiatives and business performance.

Candidate Profile:

- 18 - 25+ years of overall experience with significant experience in FMCG / Consumer Products.

- Experience at CEO, COO, Business Head, Country Head, Managing Director or equivalent level.

- Strong track record of end-to-end P&L management and business turnaround/growth.

- Strong understanding of Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Commercial functions.

- Africa market experience, particularly Kenya/Rwanda/East Africa, would be highly preferred.

- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in driving revenue and profitability.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and strategic decision-making skills.

- MBA/PGDM or equivalent qualification preferred.
