Finance @ CheQ

This role involves guiding our finance team and actively contributing to fortifying our organisation's financial well-being in the long run. As a valued member of the management team, you'll analyse departmental finances and assist in driving a robust process for financial planning and forecasting, including annual operating plans. Your role will encompass supporting strategic initiatives, collaborating on business plans, and aiding in the oversight of annual operating plans to ensure they align with our broader long-term objectives.

What you'll be doing:

- Contribute to formulating and implementing business plans/strategies in alignment with the yearly plan, collaborating closely with business teams. Assist in owning aspects of the business P&L and KPIs, providing insights and support for their achievement.

- Aid in tracking and reporting key financial metrics such as revenue, margins, and working capital, offering analytical insights to measure business performance effectively.

- Participate in developing and enforcing financial policies and procedures to ensure the company's financial health and stability.

- Support in managing the budgeting and forecasting process, assisting in the preparation of financial reports for management and investors, including financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory filings.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify growth and profitability opportunities, contributing to analysing revenue, mix, and margin improvement possibilities, and providing pricing insights.

- Assist in analysing industry and competition for business risk assessment reports provided to the leadership team.

- Contribute to maintaining relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.

- Support in establishing business intelligence reports and dashboards to streamline financial and operational data across various categories/locations/initiatives.

- Assist in partnerships with vendors for trade terms, pricing, and visibility.

- Contribute to identifying and leading working capital improvement opportunities/plans/actions, aiding in process automation and developing and implementing processes aligned with business needs, scale, and complexity.

What you'll need:

- CA/MBA qualified accounting professional with a proven track record in an analytical or commercial role

- 6+ years of relevant experience in business finance. Experience in a startup or high- growth company is an advantage.

- Strong understanding of financial accounting, auditing, and P&L management.

- Experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve financial goals.

- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
