Role Overview:

The Centre Head will be responsible for complete ownership of an entire workspace/building, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, exceptional member experience, and strong financial performance.

This role is a senior leadership position and requires managing multiple teams including community leads, facility and maintenance teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

The Centre Head will act as the single point of accountability for operations, profitability, compliance, and reporting for the assigned location(s).

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

- Own end-to-end operations of the entire workspace/building.

- Ensure smooth daily functioning with minimal downtime.

- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business goals.

- Implement and standardize SOPs to maintain consistency and efficiency.

Facility & Vendor Management:

- Oversee building maintenance, infrastructure, safety, and utilities.

- Manage vendors including housekeeping, security, maintenance, and service partners.

- Negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs, and ensure service quality.

- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and legal requirements.

Member Experience & Community Operations:

- Drive a strong member-first culture across the workspace.

- Ensure a seamless member journey from onboarding to daily operations.

- Collaborate with community and sales teams to address feedback and improve retention.

- Conduct regular audits and walkthroughs to ensure brand and service standards.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and manage community leads, facility managers, and operations teams.

- Set performance goals, track KPIs, and ensure accountability.

- Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and problem-solving.

- Coach and develop team members for long-term growth.

Financial Ownership & Reporting:

- Own operational budgets and P&L management for the building.

- Track occupancy, revenue, expenses, and profitability.

- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising service quality.

- Prepare and present detailed operational and financial reports to leadership.

Growth & Expansion Support:

- Support new workspace launches and operational rollouts.

- Coordinate with design, projects, marketing, and technology teams.

- Implement scalable systems to support future growth.

Technology & Systems:

- Use operational and facility management tools for tracking and reporting.

- Identify opportunities to leverage technology for efficiency and member experience.

Requirements:

- 8-12 years of experience in operations leadership roles.

- Preferred background: Coworking, Managed Office Spaces, Hospitality, Commercial Real Estate, or Facility Management.

- Experience managing large properties or multi-team operations.

- Strong exposure to vendor management, facility operations, and building maintenance.

- Proven experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Hands-on, ownership-driven leader with strategic thinking ability.

- Fluency in English is mandatory.

- Kannada language proficiency is mandatory.

- Tulu or other local languages are an added advantage.
