Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy aligned with company goals.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, partnerships, and new business models in the solar energy sector.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic sales, marketing, and operational plans.
- Establish short-term and long-term business objectives with clear KPIs.
Sales & Business Development
- Build and execute sales strategies to expand the customer base and market share.
- Lead customer engagement, negotiations, and relationship management.
- Ensure strong brand positioning in the solar energy marketplace.
- Explore government tenders, subsidies, and policy-driven opportunities for business growth.
Operations & Delivery
- Oversee production, distribution, and delivery of solar products and services.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory frameworks, and safety requirements.
- Implement process improvements for operational efficiency and cost optimization.
- Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives in operations.
Team Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, sales, and operations staff.
- Build a high-performance culture that values accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business goals.
- Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and regulatory bodies.
Financial & Compliance Oversight
- Manage the P&L for the solar business unit.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental policies, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10-12years of professional experience, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles in the solar/renewable energy sector.
- Proven expertise in business development, sales management, and revenue generation.
- Strong knowledge of solar technologies, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in project management, operational oversight, and compliance management.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and organizational growth.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale solar projects (utility or commercial rooftop).
- Knowledge of financial modeling and investment strategies in the renewable energy domain.
- Exposure to digital tools, CRM systems, and ERP platforms.
