Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed IT Services organization operating in the Data, Cloud, and AI space. The company is scaling rapidly and is focused on building a high-performance, predictable, and margin-driven operating model.

About the Role

We are hiring a Business Finance Head for a high-growth IT Services organization operating across Data, Cloud, and AI.

This is a foundational leadership role to build and lead the Business Finance function from the ground up. The role goes beyond reporting-focusing on driving profitability, influencing commercial decisions, and partnering with business leaders to enable sustainable growth.

You will operate at the intersection of numbers, narrative, and action-owning financial outcomes, diagnosing performance drivers, and shaping business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build & Lead the Business Finance Function


- Design and establish the business finance operating model, governance, and reporting cadence

- Define processes, accountability frameworks, and financial controls

- Partner with Controllership, HR, and IT to streamline data flows (ERP, HRMS, PSA tools)

- Implement scalable BI and planning tools aligned with business growth

2. P&L Ownership & Performance Management

- Own end-to-end P&L visibility across BUs, practices, and accounts

- Drive account-level profitability reviews and margin improvement initiatives

- Analyze key levers: utilization, realization, revenue mix, subcontracting, and cost leakage

- Build margin bridges and track improvement plans with clear ownership

3. Business Partnering (Sales & Delivery)

- Partner with Sales/Pre-sales on pricing, discounting, and deal governance

- Work with Delivery teams on utilization, pyramid optimization, and productivity

- Participate in business reviews, highlighting risks, opportunities, and actions

- Act as the finance lead in deal structuring (T&M vs Fixed Price, milestones, margins)

4. Pricing & Deal Economics

- Own pricing frameworks: rate cards, cost structures, and margin thresholds

- Lead financial evaluation of strategic deals (NPV, sensitivity, scenario modeling)

- Institutionalize deal review and approval governance

- Benchmark pricing and cost structures against market dynamics

5. Planning, Forecasting & MIS

- Lead budgeting and rolling forecasts across revenue, margins, and headcount

- Build driver-based financial models (pipeline - revenue, utilization, attrition)

- Own MIS, variance analysis, and leadership reporting

- Establish early warning indicators and improve forecast accuracy

6. Team Building & Capability Development

- Hire and develop a high-quality team (2-4 members)

- Build capability in analytics, storytelling, and business partnering

- Create scalable templates, models, and playbooks

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 9-12 years in Business Finance / Commercial Finance

- Mandatory: Experience in IT Services / Tech / Digital / Cloud environments

- Strong track record in business partnering with Sales or Delivery teams

- Exposure to high-growth or PE-backed environments preferred

- Experience in setting up or transforming finance processes is a strong plus
