The Manager/Sr. Manager Business Development will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence for the company's range of switchgear products and electrical distribution solutions. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, developing strategic partnerships, and achieving revenue targets for North India.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, client meetings, technical discussions, proposals, negotiations, and order closure
2. Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals
3. Manage existing customer relationships to ensure repeat business
4. Handle key accounts and nurture long-term partnerships
5. Ensure timely resolution of customer queries and coordination with internal teams (design, production, QA, service)
6. Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences
7. Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market demand
8. Provide feedback to management on new product requirements and industry trends
9. Strengthen brand visibility in the target market
Qualification & Experience:
1. BTech/BE in Electrical Engineering or Diploma with strong sales background.
2. MBA (Marketing/Business Development) will be an added advantage
3. Minimum 12+ years of experience in business development/sales of switchgear, panels, or related electrical equipment
4. Should have exposure in different electrical products like Switchgear, Control Panels and electrical distribution systems
5. Should have exposure in both specifications as well as approvals
6. Proven track record in handling electrical consultants and contractors
7. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
8. Excellent leadership and team management abilities
9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
