Description:


Role Summary


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new client acquisition, account management, and expansion within targeted industries.


The ideal candidate will have strong experience in outside B2B sales within the IT domain, deep understanding of enterprise verticals, and a proven ability to build long-term client relationships with decision-makers and C-level executives.


Key Responsibilities


Sales & Revenue Generation


- Drive end-to-end B2B sales cycles, from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development, negotiation, and closure.


- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets across assigned territories.


- Identify new business opportunities within IT services, digital transformation, cloud, applications, and enterprise solutions.


Client Acquisition & Account Management


- Engage with CXO-level stakeholders, procurement heads, and IT leadership to present tailored solutions.


- Manage and grow key accounts through relationship building, account retention, cross-selling, and upselling.


- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline across BFSI, IT/ITES, Manufacturing, and other enterprise sectors.


Market & Territory Development


- Execute territory-specific go-to-market strategies based on vertical knowledge and competitive insights.


- Actively participate in client meetings, industry events, conferences, and trade shows to generate leads.


- Expand network within targeted regions to increase brand visibility and client penetration.


Proposal Development & Negotiation


- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations tailored to customer needs.


- Lead commercial negotiations, contract discussions, and pricing strategy to ensure profitable deals.


- Educate customers on IT products, services, and emerging technologies to support informed decision-making.


Reporting & Coordination


- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and client interactions in the CRM system.


- Collaborate closely with delivery, pre-sales, product, and marketing teams to enable successful project execution.


- Provide competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer insights to leadership.


Required Skills


- Strong background in outside B2B sales, preferably in IT solutions and services.


- Solid understanding of enterprise verticals such as BFSI, IT/ITES, Manufacturing, Retail, and others.


- Proven ability to develop and manage C-level relationships in target regions.


- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.


- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly.


- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital sales tools.


- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel extensively across assigned regions.


Preferred Skills


- Experience with technology-driven offerings such as Cloud, SaaS, Digital Transformation, and Enterprise IT solutions.


- Existing network of enterprise buyers and influencers in South Indian or Western markets.


- Knowledge of modern sales methodologies (SPIN, Challenger Sale, Solution Selling, etc.


Qualifications


- Postgraduate degree in Management (MBA or equivalent) preferred.


- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
