About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and target-oriented Business Development Manager with proven experience in IT product and service sales.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in growing our business in the Mumbai region by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving revenue.
This is a field-intensive role requiring strong networking, product understanding, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Promote and sell IT products and services to new and existing customers across Mumbai.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and increase market presence.
- Identify potential clients through market research, cold calling, social platforms, industry events, and referrals.
- Support customers in understanding product features, benefits, pricing, and competitive advantages.
Lead & Pipeline Management:
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and sales pitches to decision-makers.
- Create detailed quotations, proposals, and scope documents based on client requirements.
- Manage the entire sales lifecyclefrom lead generation to negotiation, closure, and post-sale follow-up.
Client Relationship & Account Management:
- Establish strong relationships with clients, ensuring continuous engagement and satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and technical requirements by coordinating with internal technical teams.
- Ensure timely order execution, delivery coordination, and post-sales support.
- Drive timely payment collection and reconcile outstanding dues.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on IT trends, emerging technologies, competitive offerings, and pricing models.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product and business strategy decisions.
- Identify new market segments and opportunities to expand business.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with OEMs, distributors, and internal teams (technical, logistics, finance) for seamless operations.
- Prepare and maintain weekly/monthly reports on sales performance, pipeline status, client visits, and forecasts.
- Attend seminars, webinars, industry events, and training sessions to enhance professional knowledge.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (mandatory); MBA in Marketing or Sales is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT sales (hardware, software, cloud, networking, security, or IT services).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Good understanding of IT product categories such as servers, networking devices, cloud solutions, cybersecurity tools, or enterprise software.
- Proven ability to manage the complete sales cycle independently.
- Ability to set realistic sales targets, plan strategies, and achieve measurable results.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, lead tracking, and sales reporting processes
