Job Summary:

The role focuses on driving business growth across aerospace and defence programs by leveraging domain knowledge, Air Force exposure, and strong stakeholder relationships. The incumbent will support opportunity identification, customer engagement, bid management, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and develop new business opportunities in aerospace, defence, and government sectors.

- Track RFIs, RFPs, tenders, and upcoming procurement programs from the Indian Air Force and other defence agencies.

- Engage with IAF, MoD, DRDO, DPSUs, and private aerospace OEMs to understand requirements and position company capabilities.

- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, technical authorities, and procurement stakeholders.

- Support capture planning and contribute to bid / proposal strategy and submissions.

- Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, and legal teams to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals.

- Prepare presentations, capability statements, and market intelligence reports for internal and external use.

- Represent the company at air shows, defence exhibitions, and industry forums.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes affecting defence procurement.

- Assist in contract negotiations and ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.

- Maintain an active sales pipeline and regularly report progress to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Defence Studies, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- 8-15 years of experience in business development, defence sales, or aerospace programs.

- Indian Air Force / armed forces background or extensive experience working with IAF procurement processes is highly preferred.

- Strong understanding of defence acquisition cycles, offset policies, and government contracting.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working with aerospace or defence OEMs, system integrators, or PSUs.

- Familiarity with MIL standards, aerospace quality systems, and certification requirements.

- Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
