Key Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle, including:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for Oracle ERP Cloud subscriptions and services.
- Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, and leveraging existing contacts.
- Focus on mid-to-large enterprises across key industry verticals.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships with key decision-makers (CFOs, CIOs, Heads of IT/Finance) and act as a trusted advisor on digital transformation initiatives.
- Sales Cycle Management: Own and manage the entire sales process, including initial client engagement, capability presentations, RFI/RFP responses, proposal creation, commercial negotiations, and contract closure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Pre-Sales/Solutions team to tailor solution demonstrations and proposals that address specific client business challenges.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on targeted campaigns and lead generation activities.
- Market Insight: Stay current with the Oracle product roadmap, competitive landscape (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, etc.), and industry trends to position our offerings effectively.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Accurately manage and maintain sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Qualifications & Skills:
Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a reputable institution is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT/Enterprise Software solutions sales, with at least 3 years focused on selling Oracle ERP, Financials, HCM, SCM Cloud (SaaS/PaaS), or similar Tier 1 ERP solutions.
Skills:
- Deep Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of ERP business processes (Finance, HR, Supply Chain) and the value proposition of cloud-based solutions (SaaS/PaaS model).
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English.
- Proficiency in a regional language (e.g., Telugu, Hindi) is a plus.
- Proven Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, large-scale B2B sales cycles, penetrate new accounts, and close high-value deals.
- Goal-Oriented: Highly motivated, self-starter with a hunter mentality and a commitment to achieving sales quotas.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to grasp technical concepts and articulate business value effectively to both technical and executive audiences
