Job Description:


Our client is a high-growth consumer tech startup operating at the intersection of fintech, rewards, and youth culture. Backed by a leading Indian payments unicorn, weve scaled rapidly to millions of users and daily transactionsand are now entering a new phase of brand-led, lifestyle-driven growth.

Their mission? To reimagine digital payments for GenZ and Gen Alphaand build a brand thats as entertaining as it is functional.

They are hiring a Head of Brand Marketing to build and lead the brand function from scratch. This isnt just about campaigns or mediaits about creating cultural relevance. Youll shape the brands voice, launch high-velocity campaigns, and activate online + offline presence with the power of storytelling, internet culture, and product-led creativity.


What You'll Own:


Brand Strategy & Identity:

- Define voice, tone, and brand personality across digital and offline channels

- Translate product utility into youth-relevant, lifestyle-led narratives

- Build a culturally sharp, sticky brand for GenZ


Campaigns & Media Planning:

- Plan and execute high-impact brand campaigns (macro + monthly)

- Align media spend (~1020 Cr/year) with brand KPIs and awareness targets

- Own IPL, creator, and experiential activation playbooks


Social & Influencer Marketing:

- Build organic brand presence via meme marketing, moment marketing, and creator collabs

- Turn Instagram and Twitter into brand engines

- Lead partnerships with youth collectives, influencers, and subcultures


Offline & IP-Led Branding:

- Launch owned brand IPs (festivals, events, creator-led platforms)

- Drive presence at relevant offline touchpoints (e.g., music fests, campus circuits, pop culture events)

- Work cross-functionally to integrate brand into product + CX


Creative & Content Org Building:

- Build and manage a high-performing internal team (design, copy, social, video)

- Identify and manage agency partners

- Ensure creative quality and velocity across all brand surfaces


You'll Thrive Here If You:

- 8 to 12 years in brand, creative, or marketing leadership preferably in D2C, internet-first, youth-led brands.

- A creative generalist with sharp instincts and internet fluency you get the drift.

- Balanced thinker who understands both brand heat and performance hygiene.

- Deep consumer insight muscle especially with GenZ and digital-first India.

- Hands-on with social content, copy, visual storytelling, and campaign thinking.

- Has agency network and creator ecosystem acces scan build quickly.

- Experience working with design, growth, and founder teams directly.


What Wont Work:

- Established Fintech, Traditional BFSI, FMCG, or heavily process-driven marketing styles.

- Folks looking to manage vendors but not shape narratives or jump into execution.

- Corporate brand managers or Pure play Performance Marketing folks
