Bikaji Foods International Ltd. is a leading Indian snacks and packaged food company with a strong manufacturing base in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The role will be based at Bikaner, where Bikaji has its registered and corporate office presence. Bikaji is also associated with large-scale manufacturing of traditional Indian snacks including Bikaneri bhujia, namkeen, papad and related packaged food products.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Quality Head to lead the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control function for Bikaji's manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, process standardization, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across manufacturing, packaging, raw material, finished goods and vendor quality.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the FMCG / food processing industry, preferably in snacks, namkeen, bakery, packaged foods, ready-to-eat products or similar food manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the complete Quality Assurance and Quality Control function across manufacturing units.

- Ensure consistent product quality, food safety and compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and statutory regulations.

- Monitor and control quality at all stages including raw material, in-process production, packaging and finished goods.

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, GHP and other applicable food safety and quality standards.

- Develop, implement and strengthen quality systems, SOPs, process controls and quality checkpoints.

- Lead internal and external audits, customer audits, regulatory audits and certification audits.

- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality deviations, customer complaints, rejections and non-conformities.

- Work closely with Production, R&D, Procurement, Packaging, Supply Chain and Operations teams to improve quality and reduce defects.

- Ensure vendor quality assurance for raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials and outsourced processes.

- Monitor product shelf life, sensory quality, packaging quality, hygiene standards and plant sanitation practices.

- Establish quality KPIs and review plant-level quality performance on a regular basis.

- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce wastage, improve process capability and enhance product consistency.

- Ensure timely testing, documentation, batch release, traceability and maintenance of quality records.

- Lead, mentor and develop the quality team across QA, QC, food safety, lab testing and compliance functions.

- Support new product development and product scale-up from a quality and food safety perspective.

- Ensure readiness for domestic and export quality requirements, wherever applicable.

Required Candidate Profile

- Candidate should have 12-18 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in the FMCG or food processing industry.

- Must have handled a senior quality leadership role in a large manufacturing setup.

- Experience in snacks, namkeen, packaged foods, bakery, confectionery, ready-to-eat foods or similar food manufacturing will be preferred.

- Strong knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, GHP and food safety systems.

- Good understanding of raw material quality, process quality, packaging quality and finished goods quality.

- Experience in handling audits, certifications, customer complaints, regulatory compliance and quality improvement projects.

- Should have strong leadership, team management and cross-functional coordination skills.

- Must be able to work in a high-volume, process-driven manufacturing environment.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making ability is required.

- Candidate should be willing to relocate or be based in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
