Position Overview:


The Senior Manager / Associate Director - Category Growth & Analytics will drive end-to-end category performance across sales, margins, assortment, and inventory, with a strong focus on scaling both online and offline business.


This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and analytics, enabling category growth through data-backed insights, demand planning, and cross-functional execution.


Key Responsibilities:


- Drive category performance across revenue, margins, and inventory efficiency


- Define and execute category growth strategies across pricing, assortment, and demand planning


- Analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to unlock growth opportunities


- Drive assortment planning and SKU optimization across D2C and retail channels


- Build and scale automated dashboards and reporting frameworks for real-time decision-making


- Lead inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment strategies to ensure optimal stock health


- Identify top-performing, slow-moving, and non-performing SKUs, and drive corrective actions


- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, marketing, and retail teams for category optimization


- Drive experimentation (pricing, promotions, A/B testing) to maximize conversion and profitability


- Leverage SQL/Python-based analytics and automation to improve efficiency and scalability


- Lead and mentor a team, building a high-impact analytics and planning function


Qualifications:


- 4-6+ years of experience in category analytics, retail planning, or business analytics (preferably in D2C/fashion/e-commerce)


- Strong understanding of retail and e-commerce metrics (sell-through, ROS, GMROI, inventory turns, contribution margins)


- Advanced proficiency in SQL (complex queries, data handling) and Python (Pandas, automation, analytics)


- Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker


- Strong foundation in data analytics, forecasting, and statistical modeling


- Proven ability to translate data into actionable business insights


- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments


- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
