The India Gig Vertical (OkayGo)is a high-growth business unit within betterplace, offering Task Management & Project Management Solutions. This vertical specializes in providing Task Fulfilment & Gig (Staffing and Recruitment) Solutions to key industry clients.
Role Overview:
- This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the entire P&L, integrating strategic sales growth with operational excellence for the India Gig Vertical.
- This leader will define the strategic direction for market penetration, ensure the achievement of aggressive Annual Operating Plan (AOP) revenue targets, and optimize ground-level operational processes to guarantee seamless, scalable, and profitable service delivery.
Strategic Sales & Business Development Leadership:
- Revenue Accountability: Own and drive the complete revenue cycle, ensuring the achievement of AOP targets and enhancing sales on a Month-over-Month (MOM) and Year-over-Year (YOY) basis.
- Strategic Market Penetration: Define and execute the B2B sales strategy for Task Fulfilment and Gig (Staffing and Recruitment) Solutions, focusing on acquiring new business portfolios and logos.
- Enterprise Engagement: Initiate and lead meaningful conversations to pitch solutions related to the gig, recruitment, and staffing industry to large Corporates, SMEs, and Start-ups.
- High-Value Account Management: Oversee key accounts, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders and maximizing revenue from existing client engagements.
- Industry Focus: Leverage deep knowledge and background from preferred industries such as BFSI, Stock Audits/Non-Financial Audits, Tele-Calling, and Other Outsourcing services to target and convert strategic clients.
Operational Excellence & Process Management:
- Ground Operations Oversight: Lead the day-to-day ground-level execution of operational processes, ensuring smooth workflow, timely service delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Manage and improve operational processes related to gig workforce management, fulfillment, and logistics, identifying inefficiencies and implementing optimization strategies.
- Scalability & Standardization: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ground operations to standardize processes, ensuring consistency and scalability across all levels of execution.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets to track, analyze, and report key operational metrics (e.g., inventory, fulfillment, workforce management), translating raw data into actionable insights for continuous process improvement.
- Financial Operations: Ensure timely invoicing and collection of billables, meticulously tracking invoices to accomplish revenue targets. Oversee cost control and budget management to optimize resource utilization.
- Compliance & Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process, including achieving monthly onboarding/KYC targets and ensuring proper procedures are followed for the smooth onboarding of clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 9+ years of progressive experience, with significant time in a senior leadership role overseeing integrated Sales and Operations within a high-growth environment.
- Industry Expertise: Must possess B2B Sales experience and a strong understanding of operational workflows in industries like Staffing & Temporary Workforce, logistics, e-commerce,
internet services, or other manual/crude operations where ground-level management is key.
- Process Acumen: Solid grasp of process improvement methodologies.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for complex reporting,
dashboards, and data analysis.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to manage diverse teams and align internal/external stakeholders.
- Education: A Postgraduate or MBA from a Tier 1 college is preferred.
