DIVISION: Professional Lighting.
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and manage business development initiatives in the solar energy sector and drive strategic growth to achieve revenue and market expansion goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Generation & Market Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in solar EPC, rooftop, and utility scale projects.
- Conduct market research to analyse trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, EPC contractors, and industrial customers.
- Prepare and deliver techno-commercial proposals and presentations.
Sales & Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Manage tender submissions, RFP responses, and pricing strategies.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor market movements to identify new ventures and growth opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with technical, project, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of solar projects.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry forums.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BE/ BTech (Electrical) or MBA/ PGDM (Marketing).
WORK EXPERIENCE: 8-12 years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial/ cross functional collaboration role in Solar or Renewable energy sector.
PREFERRED/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Understanding of solar PV systems, EPC processes, and government policies/incentives.
