Job Description - Legal Lead
The Legal Lead will be crucial in reviewing and managing contracts, supporting various business units, and ensuring that all agreements benefit Avaali. This position requires a proactive and strategic thinker who can handle negotiations, streamline processes, and manage a comprehensive contract repository.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Contract Review: Assess contracts promptly and comprehensively, ensuring they align with Avaali's goals and compliance standards.
- Timely Business Unit Support: Collaborate with different business units within Avaali to create, review, and approve contracts, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Agreement Creation: Draft detailed and precise agreements that protect Avaali's interests.
- Negotiation: Engage with counterparties to negotiate and discuss contract terms, ensuring outcomes are highly beneficial to Avaali.
- Contract Management: Develop and maintain a repository of contracts, ensuring proper version management and accessibility for critical stakeholders.
- Process Innovation: Identify and implement new processes to enhance efficiency and inter-departmental collaboration.
- Other Duties: Perform additional legal tasks and responsibilities as required to support Avaali's operational and strategic objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience of at least five years in legal contract review, creation, and negotiation.
- Extensive experience in IT consulting and solutions companies and have handled all contracts, including services, product EULAs, partnerships, real estate, maintenance, etc.
- Strong understanding of all relevant laws and corporate regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and management skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and document management systems.
