
Automation Lead - Center of Excellence
Description:
We are looking for someone who has the vision to architect a CoE, the technical depth to govern enterprise automation, and the business acumen to drive pipeline, revenue, and measurable ROI. Roles & Responsibilities
CoE Setup & Governance:
- Define the CoE charter, operating model, intake framework, design authority, and guardrails
- Publish standards for solution architecture, security/compliance, coding conventions, testing, and release management
- Build and maintain a reusable asset library components, templates, connectors, accelerators, and runbooks
Pre-Sales & Sales Support:
- Work closely with Sales and Pre-Sales teams on GTM strategy, RFP/RFI responses, demos, and POCs
- Build ROI/TCO models and value propositions for customer engagements
- Create case studies with measurable outcomes FTE savings, STP%, error reduction, MTTR improvements.
Customer Discovery & Solutioning:
- Conduct process discovery and assessments; use process/task mining to identify and qualify automation opportunities
- Design end-to-end automation architectures combining RPA + IDP + Workflow + API integrations
- Ensure NFRs security, compliance, performance, and reliability are embedded in every solution
Delivery Management:
- Plan and govern delivery; enforce SDLC, CI/CD, and quality gates
- Track project KPIs, SLAs, and delivery milestones
- Drive hypercare and continuous improvement post go-live
Run Operations:
- Set up production-grade monitoring, alerting, triage, and incident/change management processes
- Track and improve reliability metrics MTTR, CFR, uptime
- Manage license optimization and FinOps for platform cost control
Stakeholder & Leadership Reporting:
- Publish dashboards covering pipeline, revenue, automation volume, platform stability, and ROI
- Run governance forums and manage executive stakeholder alignment
- Own CoE P&L investment utilization, platform adoption, and annual ROI targets
Required Skills & Experience:
Mandatory:
- 15 to 22 years of overall experience in Automation / IT Engineering
- 8 to 10 years in a leadership role within an Automation / RPA / Hyperautomation CoE
- Hands-on experience with RPA tools UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism
- Experience with IDP platforms ABBYY, Azure Form Recognizer, or Google Document AI
- Proficiency in Workflow / Low-Code Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, or Appian
- Exposure to Process / Task Mining Celonis, UiPath Process Mining
- Strong solution architecture skills across RPA + IDP + API + Workflow
- Proven pre-sales experience discovery, solutioning, POCs, business case and ROI modelling
- Experience in production run operations monitoring, incident management, MTTR/CFR tracking
- Deep understanding of enterprise security, compliance, and audit controls
Good to Have:
- Experience with Test Automation Selenium, Playwright, API and performance testing
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- FinOps experience for platform cost optimization
- Prior P&L ownership or CoE investment tracking experience
