
Key Responsibilities:
EIA Studies & Project Delivery
- Lead and execute Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) studies for large-scale infrastructure and development projects.
- Special focus on sectors including Ports, Highways, Industrial Areas, Thermal Power Plants, Airports, Area Development, and Buildings & Construction.
Regulatory Compliance & Clearances
- End-to-end responsibility for securing statutory approvals: Environmental, CRZ, Forest, and Wildlife Clearances.
- Ensure compliance with both national guidelines (e.g., MOEFCC, SPCBs) and international standards (World Bank, ADB, IFC, JICA, etc.).
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for client communication and coordination.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations and public hearings as per the EIA notification and funding agency guidelines.
Project Management & Team Leadership
- Manage project teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Review and finalize technical reports, presentations, and deliverables.
Authority Liaison & Representation
- Lead meetings with statutory bodies such as MOEFCC, SEIAA, SPCBs, Forest & Wildlife departments.
- Represent the organization in appraisal meetings, technical discussions, and field visits.
Travel & On-site Assessments
- Frequent travel to project sites across India for data collection, impact assessments, and consultations.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- M.Sc. / M.Tech. / Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science / Environmental Planning or related field.
Certifications (Mandatory):
- NABET Accredited Environmental Coordinator (Category A) in at least one of the following sectors:
Key Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of EIA Notification, CRZ regulations, and Forest & Wildlife Acts.
- Understanding of international environmental safeguard policies.
- Excellent technical report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
