Job Title: Associate Vice President - Finance and Accounts - Road InvIT
Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Financial Controller
Location: BKC, Mumbai
Position Summary:
The Associate Vice President - Finance and Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the complete finance and accounting functions of the Road InvIT, which comprises six project SPVs. In addition, the role will manage the accounting operations of four operating road SPVs and approximately ten dormant road SPVs that are not part of the InvIT. The position demands strong technical expertise in accounting, compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls, along with the ability to coordinate effectively with auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance functions for all SPVs under the InvIT, as well as the assigned operating and dormant SPVs outside the InvIT.
- Ensure timely preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, SEBI InvIT regulations, and Companies Act requirements.
- Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure accurate tax provisioning and disclosure in financial statements in line with Ind AS and Income Tax requirements.
- Evaluate tax positions on transactions, new business arrangements, and contracts (including refinancing, restructuring, and other strategic initiatives)to ensure compliance and optimal tax efficiency
2. Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure statutory compliance with applicable laws, including GST, TDS, Companies Act, SEBI InvIT Regulations, and other relevant statutes.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for smooth completion of audits and reviews.
- Oversee timely filing of returns, ROC forms, and regulatory submissions.
3. Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor SPV-level cash flows and working capital requirements.
4. Governance & Internal Controls:
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor accounting entries, reconciliations, and schedules prepared by the team.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
5. Special Assignments & Projects:
- Manage accounting and compliance for the four operating road SPVs and around ten dormant SPVs outside the InvIT structure.
- Support CFO in transaction-related work, such as investor reporting, Regulatory reporting, due diligence by investors, refinance / restructuring of loan and project handovers.
- Support CFO in providing any historical data requested by Government agencies
- Assist in financial modelling, budget preparation, and business planning for InvIT and SPVs.
- Any software implementation (Having impact on accounts)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15-20 years of post-qualification experience in infrastructure, InvIT, or large corporates.
- Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, SEBI InvIT Regulations, and taxation.
- Proven experience in handling multi-entity accounting and consolidation.
- Exposure to BOT/road project finance will be an advantage.
